道場長紹介

オーストラリア生まれのバーバー出人先生は、鎌倉錬武舘の道場長を務めている。

David Barber is the Founder & Director of the Kamakura Renbukan Dojo, a Japan-based martial arts organization. In addition to serving the local Japanese community, our dojo has active students throughout Europe and North America.

 

希少かつ歴史ある武術を専門とする出人先生は、15歳で武道を始め、約40年間武術の稽古に携わってきました。

Specializing in classical martial arts & Japanese warrior traditions, David began his budo journey at the age of 15, and has been involved in martial arts training for 40 years.

 

日本に30年間居住している出人先生は、故・齋藤聰先生（日本古武道振興協会会長）の支援を受けて、2010年に錬武舘道場を設立した。

A 30-year resident of Japan, David established his Renbukan dojo in 2010, under the auspices of the late Saito Satoshi-sensei, Chairman of the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai, Japan’s oldest association for classical martial arts (koryu bujutsu).  

 

出人先生は、柳生心眼流（甲冑着用を起源とする総合武術〔柔術・剣術・棒術・薙刀術〕）、柳生神陰流（徳川幕府が採用した剣術）、根岸流（江戸時代の安中藩に設立された手裏剣術の流派）の各流派に所属し、宗家の指導の下で指導を行っています。また、護身術として合気道や中国拳法も指導しています。

Internationally, David represents the styles of Yagyu Shingan Ryu (School of the Mind’s Eye, c: 1600), Yagyu Shinkage Ryu (School of the New Shadow, c: 1568) & Negishi Ryu (School of Shuriken, c: 1850).

 

出人は故齋藤聰先生から師範免許を受けたわずか3人のうちの1人で、古代の教えを未来の世代のために保存することに尽力しています。出人先生の生徒は日本国内にとどまらず、ヨーロッパや北米全土に活発に活動しています。

David was 1 of only 3 people to have received a Master’s license from Saito Satoshi-sensei, and today, he continues to preserve and pass-down the ancient teachings entrusted to him.
